Our Inspiration
Made In Borikén is inspired in part by the teachings of Andrés Facundo de los Dolores Petit (1829–1871), the founder of the Kimbisa tradition in Cuba. Petit is remembered for promoting unity, charity, and service to others, teaching that spiritual work should not be separated from helping one’s community. His legacy encourages us to look beyond ourselves and recognize that true spiritual growth is reflected through our actions—through compassion, generosity, respect, and a willingness to uplift those around us. These principles continue to guide our mission as we strive to serve our community with humility and purpose. At Made In Borikén, we believe that faith must be accompanied by charity, that wisdom should be shared, and that every person deserves the opportunity to overcome life’s obstacles with dignity and support.Guided by the principles of faith, charity, and community exemplified by Andrés Facundo de los Dolores Petit, Made In Borikén is dedicated to preserving Caribbean spiritual traditions while uplifting and serving the people around us
